That is why we decided to start a service that will benefit all players of World of Warcraft™: FREE compensation for players for when they can't play! We are introducing something that has never been done before and to be honest we don't know how far we will get, but we will try our best in providing our service. News of our site has spread worldwide from the US to Germany Russia, France, UK, and China and we hope it continues to spread. Membership to YPOWP is completely FREE and there are no fees of any kind.

Q What's new with YouPlayOrWePay.com after the reconstruction?
YPOWP's orginal idea of compensating players for laggy game play, waiting queues and system outages shocked the industry and the news spread from the US to Germany, Russian, France, UK and China. There were two big problems that held back some players from joining: The first was the monthly fee and the second was the question of legality of YPOWP acting like an insurance company. The NEW YPOWP solves both issues by offering our services for FREE for all World of Warcraft™ players. No monthly fees, no tricky calculations, no payment of any kind! We are still going to offer compensation to players for laggy game play, waiting queues and system outages but membership is completely FREE.
Q I live outside of the US, can I still sign up?
Yes! YPOWP will be able to allow membership from North America, Europe, Asia and Austrilia as long as the player understands a little English :) However, we are initially only offering our service to US players until we can add in the functionality for overseas players. Please check back often for updates!
Q How can you guys possiblity offer this service for free?
We are offering our services for free based on two things: Advertisment funding and donations. We feel our idea will continue to spread around the globe to World of Warcraft™ players worldwide and we will be able to generate enough intake from advertisments and donations alone to compensate players for laggy game play, waiting queues and system outages. The more we collect, the more we will give out. We will have a meter in each member's account page showing how much money was collected from advertising and donations to show exactly how much we can compensate each month.
Q Are you guys making any money with YPOWP?
YPOWP is a non-profit organization aiming to benefit all players of World of Warcraft™. We are offering our compensation FREE for all members and everything we collect (minus operation fees for the site) will be given back out to members as compensation in the form of paid game time and prizes.
Q So how do we get compensated?
We have a new concept that we want to introduce which we feel will be fair to all those that join YPOWP. YPOWP will compensate players with YPOWP credit which players can exchange for World of Warcraft™ game cards or merchandise. The midnight of the first of every month (For Example, 12:00 AM Jan 1 Central Time (US & Canada)) players will be able to click on the "Activate Compensation" link in his/her account page to start compensation. Since we anticipate a lot more members than availble funds to compensate players with, we will have a limited amount of spots open for compensation. The number of available spots depends on the previous month's intake of advertisments and donations. The number of spots open for compensation will vary month by month. The more funding YPOWP recieves, the more open spots we can have availble for compensation. Players who miss out on a compensation spot will be able to earn prizes based on our monthly contest. Q How do I sign up?
Registering for an account is easy and free for all those who play World of Warcraft™. Our registration process asks a few simple questions and allows players to register up to 10 characters of which only one can be used to activate for compensation at the start of every month. Only one account per household is allowed.
Q Are there any requirements for sign up?
We have made it very easy to sign up for just about everyone. Players need to have a valid email address and a valid level 40 or higher World of Warcraft™ character that has been active within the last 30 days. Players who are under the age of 18 will need to have a parent's concent before signing up for membership.
Q How do I know you guys aren't going to steal my password?
We do not require knowing what a player's World of Warcraft™ account password is for registration and we clearly state NOT to use a World of Warcraft™ account password when registrating for a YPOWP membership.
Q How do I withdraw my credit?
Compensation is givin in YPOWP credit and players may select to exchange credit for World of Warcraft™ game cards or merchanise. Everything can be seen in a member's account page and new items may be added periodicly.
Q What if I transfer my character from one realm to another?
The compensation will be based on the realm the character was activated with at the start of the month. If the character was transferred from one realm to another during the month, compensation will still be based off the old realm. You will be responsible for keeping your characters up to date and you will not be allowed to activate a character that has not been updated at least within the last day. Updating of characters can be taken care of from the Edit Characters section of the Account Control Panel.
Q How do I know your data logging is accurate?
We get our realm status and character data directly off of Blizzard®'s World Of Warcraft™ realm status page and we data log all the information we gather.
Q How do I check my realm status or get a history of my realm?
Under our Tools menu bar we have two links that provide realm status and realm status history for all North American realms. Realm status displays the realm name along with realm type, population and status. We also included a unique feature which shows the length of time at the current status. Realm status history goes more in depth in terms of showing the realm status for each individual realm over a time period. This can be used to determine if your realm population at Low, Normal, High and Max as well as when the realm was offline.
Q Are you guys an insurance company?
No we want to make it very clear that we are not an insurance company nor do we operate like one. YouPlayorWePay.com is a totally new idea and the first of its kind. We strive to provide a FREE compensattion service for everyone that plays World of Warcraft™.
Q Is YPOWP only for WOW (World of Warcraft™)?
At this time yes, we want to establish ourselves with WOW first and then we will look into expanding into other games.
Q What happens if someone else registers my characters?
If you are the owner of a character that is already registered, please email us right away informing us of the situation. We will investigate the matter with you and with the other party who claimed the character already.
